Come Home

When I was a little girl, we traveled around all the time. There was no real place to call home and in my heart I began to have a deep desire to have a home that would never change. Maybe that is where I first began to understand some things about my heart!

Part of what I love about the Lord is that I have a PERMANENT home that I will be going to someday and I won't ever have that feeling again. I look forward to that day when I am with the Lord in eternity!

There is also part of me that longs for the day when I can know that even though I mess up, I am welcomed at home. Have you ever had a time that you did something so bad that you thought you could not go home and face your family?

I look around me and I see so many people that are hurting, angry, bitter or just needing to be loved and I have great compassion for them because I know how that feels. Those very people need to come home to the Grace of God and know that they are loved and cared for.

God has such a love for us, His children, that He gave us mercy and grace to abide in. If you are a believer today there is love at the foot of the Cross and forgiveness in the eyes of the Lord. He just wants you to come home!

The Bible says that God draws us with lovingkindness to Himself! He reaches out to that place we are in where we feel we can't be loved; we are not good enough or can never get it right and He draws us toward Himself with love. ONLY God can do that.

Maybe you feel that pull of love from the Lord today and want to make a change in your life and find some peace for your heart! That is what God wants for you too! I discovered long ago that I can't outrun God's Grace!  The Bible is full of promise for those who choose to turn toward the Lord and believe what God says.

The Bible says in Psalms 4:8, "I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety."

Only God can make us safe and loved and secure in this world. Our home is with Him and it is my prayer that you know that today!

We can never do anything bad enough that God would not desire us to return to Him and come home to His love and goodness. All we have to do is ask forgiveness for the sin and turn our lives and hearts toward Him!

COME HOME today and dwell with the Lord and feel the security of knowing that you could never do anything to keep Him from loving you!

Jesus I Need A Miracle!

Have you ever had a time in your life when you just needed to see or hear a miracle to be inspired? Have you just thought; if I could just really see a glimpse of something wonderful I might be able to make it?

How about having to wait for that miracle? ...needing one so desperately and having to wait for a good period of time?

I know these two scenarios have played out over time for me as well as for you.

I find that the closer I grow to the Lord; the more my eyes are opened. I praise God for that and it is a blessing that He affords us. What I mean when I say that is that if we put God first in all that we do and we have that open relationship with Him; spend time in prayer; ask forgiveness for sin in our lives and run to God continually; we see things differently.

You see, the miracles are happening all around us ALL THE TIME and we are too lost in the busyness of our lives to really see them. God is not withholding blessing and miracles; we are just not looking for them!

In the book of Job in chapter 9 the Bible says, "He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted."

These 'wonders and miracles' are found in the eyes of our children or in the kindness of a stranger; they are found in the love of a believer who shares God with someone.

The man who wrote the verse above was a man that had extreme tragedy in his life and there was nothing good going on around him and yet He believed God. He kept his eyes on the Lord, looking to Him and believing that even though he didn't understand; wonders and miracles were happening all around him. His faith in the Lord was so deep that he made a choice to believe that even though his life was a wreck there was something good happening all around him.

Can we say that? Can we say that in the midst of problems and heartache we are looking past them to see the wonders and miracles going on around us?

Maybe your miracle is right in front of you today and it is my prayer that your relationship with the Lord is so sweet and pure that you CAN see the miracles and power that God pours out continually on His people!

Matthew 5:8 says "Blessed are the pure in heart; for they will see God."

It is my prayer that today is a beginning point for you to believe God and see the wonders and miracles all around you. To deepen that relationship with the Lord and be on the lookout for those miracles and wonders that are just waiting for you to see!

I Want To Seek God With My Whole Heart

I have discovered in this life that there are very few things that LAST! I don't know about you but things break around my house all the time and I am always left with the decision on whether to fix or to buy a new whatever. I almost always catch myself asking "why can't this thing last forever?"

Do you ever wonder why that question comes out? I often think that question comes out because down deep in our heart is a need for something that will LAST FOREVER! We just need one thing that will show our soul hope that it lasts.

Guess what? The love and goodness of the LORD is that 'thing'! That is correct - The LORD desires that we find out how good and lasting He really is and the only way to do that is to examine the Scripture for the answer...at least that is what I have found in my own life. I find that the Bible answers the questions of my soul over and over again.

When I am discouraged, I go here: Psalm 25:1-3 ~ "To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame."

I learn from this passage that if I lift up my soul to God and trust Him; He will never let me be put to shame...and that will increase my hope.

I don't know about you,  but today,  I am putting my trust and hope in my God and looking forward to whatever comes my way because God says that I won't be put to shame and my enemies will not triumph over me! YES! Something that won't break and is eternal! That is ENOUGH to get my day going - what about you?

Begin to grow in the Love of the LORD! He has so much for us and all we need to do is turn to Him and believe Him for who He is; ask forgiveness for our sin and REALLY LIVE in the power of His hope and love!
